The Society is based at Fort Nelson on Portsdown Hill but takes an active interest in all of the Palmerston Forts of Portsmouth, Plymouth the U.K. and abroad, and has in the past arranged visits and work parties in fortifications of other areas such as Plymouth. Although we have an active nucleus of local members we also have members from overseas, such as Norway, Belgium, Spain, Malta, America and Australia.
Meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month at Fort Nelson, 7.30p.m. excluding August and December. Non members are welcome but as the Fort is a secure area please e-mail for entry details. The Annual General meeting is held in October. All membership fees are due by the Annual General Meeting.
