The PAV have fired Victorian guns at other venues in the UK including

 

Pendennis
Dartmouth
Crownhill

 

 

Anyone wishing to join the PAV should contact the PFS at Fort Nelson.


Applicants should be at least 18 years old, a minimum height of 5ft. 6 inches and have a strong back!

 

The PAV represents a unit of the 2nd Hants Volunteer Artillery formed at Portsmouth 1859-1908.

For those with an interest in Victorian armament there is an opportunity to join in the activities of the Portsdown Artillery Volunteers, a section of the Society that researches into and performs authentic Victorian gun drills on some of the artillery pieces of the Royal Armouries' collection at Fort Nelson. This includes :-
