The Society has a small group of volunteer workers who meet regularly every Saturday moring at a fort in the Portsmouth area. They undertake various projects, such as the restoration and interpretation of the magazines at Fort Nelson.

The same group also helps with restoration and tidy up work at other fortifications when requested. We are currently working on projects at Portsmouth:
Fort Nelson : restoration of the re-enactment area on the west rampart. Refurbishing a 64pr RML on a garrison carrige for the west rampart.
Eastney Battery East  : clearance, reinstatement and interpretation of various gun positions.
We have also helped with various projects at Lumps Fort at Portsmouth, Fort Widley on Portsdown, Crownhill Fort at Plymouth and Freshwater Redoubt on the Isle of Wight.
